Where we drill
Water for South Sudan's operations are focused in South Sudan, the world's newest country, which achieved its independence from the Republic of Sudan on July 9, 2011. South Sudan is about the size of the state of Texas in the US.
Our drilling teams, A and B, operate in remote villages west and east of the White Nile river which bisects South Sudan. Operations are hundreds of miles south and east of the violence in Darfur. An interactive map of WFSS wells can be found here. You can read Water for South Sudan's 2012-13 drilling report here. As of May, 2014, Water for South Sudan has drilled 217 wells in South Sudan.
